The story
Her date cancels, so the Hartleys' babysitter accepts a ride home from the husband, and turns his polite gesture into a question his wedding ring cannot answer.
Our take
A car-ride slow burn where most of the tension sits in conversation: a cancelled date, a lift home and a married man trying to stay polite with his ring on the wheel. The hesitation is the point, and the babysitter knows exactly how to use it.
The free opening is mostly that drive, which shows the pacing clearly. If dialogue-driven temptation appeals, the paid run delivers it; if you want a fast start, other series under the Taboo label move quicker.
